French Doors Up

Today I worked on getting the french doors painted with their final coat. I started the day by sanding the doors to take down all of the high spots from the raised wood grain and paint from priming or the first coat.

Here I am sanding the blue theater side of the french doors in preparation for the final coat of paint. I should have realized earlier on to sand the doors between coats. Either way the doors are going to be fantastic looking!

Here is Ry and me after the doors were hung in the evening. The brown side of the doors is for the Wilderness Lodge side of the basement (more on that another time). Thanks to my great son for his help and tolerance of me during the work session. You see, upon rehanging the doors, the hinges didn't line up in the same way they did when I took the doors down. After a few minutes of stress, we figured out the problem, loosened the hinges to give a little bit of play, and then proceeded to rehang the doors. I think it all came out well. What do you think?
