While we've struggled with the name for the theater, we should give credit to Jerry, Uncle Cal's brother-in-law for the "men's land" terminology. While visiting Jerry in TC in the summer of '06, we talked about "Man's Land" at his house which is otherwise filled with as many as three women. Obviously, he too, needs a cave in which to retreat at times. Jerry--thanks for your words. I'm not sure if the final name of our project will continue as the "Men's Land Home Theater," but I do think we'll never forget our inspiration.
Update:
March 2008: We've decided on a name for the theater room: "Victors Theater." It is perfect.
April 6, 2008: Ryan and I settled on "Men's Land" as the official name of the basement. We eliminated "The Man Hole" or "The Men Hole" after SJCK's objections.
