Insulation and Drywall!

We've been hard at work for the last couple weeks. Right after school got out, Dad, Ryan and I put up the insulation in the basement. It took about a day's time including buying/hauling the insulation to the house and putting it up. The only mishap was when Dad shot a staple into his hand using my staple gun, which shoots staples from the opposite site than Dad's gun. In the end (after an emergency room visit), he was fine, which we are happy about. Here are a couple photos of the festive event:Thanks (again) to Dad for all of his help. I/we couldn't have done all of this without him. Probably the part he likes the most is working with such an easy going son :-).

After the insulation, it was time for Bob the Painter (and in this case drywaller) to come in and hang drywall and tape/mud it. This has been going on all this week and it is looking like a while new basement:

Bob's work has been great! We appreciate him. I should mention also that Bob will be painting the ceiling of the basement too--and over the years he has painted both inside and outside our house. Thanks, Bob. I'll try to get a picture of Bob to post soon.
