Athlete's banquet was great. The highlight for me was Ken Orlowski who came in third at the first Ironman event ever in 1978. He took no water with him on the bike (which he borrowed because he was not a biker), rode in cutoff jeans and tennis shoes, and had some money in his pocket which he used to buy food at grocery stores along the way and even stopped at a McDonalds!
