The “Series III” alto saxophone is part of the “Selmer sound” tradition: open and centred, the instrument offers enjoyment of playing. It responds to the slightest inflection of breath, allowing the musician to freely express his musical personality. Perfectly balanced overall tuning (octave ratios, …) and a remarkably staged upper register, with the double C sharp mechanism, are significant features. Its acoustic and mechanical qualities and ergonomics make it a first-class instrument. The technical options developed in the design of the “Series III” alto saxophone and the accurate definition of its manufacturing processes have enabled attaining a high level of acoustic and mechanical performance.
Here is a picture of what it will look like:

Features of the Series III:
| Neck | with a specific bore, the “Series III” neck has minimum weight (thin reinforcement plate, no added escutcheon). Neck, body, bow and bell are cast in a special brass alloy. |
| Post Plates | the post plates supporting the whole key system have a minimum surface, reducing stress on the tube. |
| Body-to-bow Ring | a body to bow ring with low mass and a new dudgeoning system (body to bow joint) improve the vibration response. |
| Double C# Mechanism | the double C sharp mechanism is a new acoustic concept applied to instrument making, thanks to which the middle C sharp no longer requires correction. Furthermore tuning is perfectly tiered in the upper register (C sharp, D, D sharp, E, F and F sharp). |
| Bb Spatula Key | the spatula switch playing system is reached by an adjustable arm and an adjusting plate for the whole left-hand little finger keyboard. |
| Keywork | the particularly well balanced positioning of all the keywork (left- and right-hand little fingers, side keys, left-hand high keys, left-hand double F and right-hand F/D pearls) facilitates the grip of the instrument. |
