The first drywall arrived in Men's Land today! It was very exciting. Dad arrived around 9 AM, happy and ready to work in his warm red sweater.

We started by building a 24" wall in the "nook" where a cabinet will set later on. It will be sort of like a butler's pantry. Dad and I put the two walls up handily and got prepared for the arrival of the drywall.

At about 11 AM, Home Depot pulled up in the driveway and deposited our drywall in the garage. By noon, Dad and I had hauled all of the drywall to the basement. At that point, I thought it would be a good idea to get Dad some nourishment as I didn't want him to get too weak from being over-worked. I offered Dad several fast(er) food options including T-Bell, McD's, BK, Wendys, Tim Hortons, Arby's, Panera, Buffalo Wild Wings, and the Ikea cafe. In the end, Dad would have nothing but JJs.

We got the JJs and came back home. We ate in the basement--which is when the quote of the day occurred. Dad said, "What could be better than eating in Men's Land, drinking a beer and being surrounded by lot of tools?" It was pretty funny.

After eating, we got some drywall up along the stairs, on the left as you walk down. It felt really good to get that first drywall up. Here's what it looked like:
