This Week in Men's Land

Work:
It was a fairly light week in terms of getting work done in the basement but we did get some done on the weekend. It started out just getting some general cleaning and organizing done. Ryan did most of that. On Sunday we got to some more serious work adding in a new 15 amp circuit and several can lights on the exercise room side of the basement.

Fun:
This week there wasn’t much watching TV in the basement, but we did watch "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby." It was a funny movie on how a pit crew member gets in the car and wins the race. After the race he becomes a big star with his catch phrase "Shake & Bake." At his prime, he gets in a crash and his life falls apart. With the help of his by-the-book mom, and his druggie dad, he competes in the Talladega 500. In the last lap he is mano-a-mano with his major competitor--and then they both crash. In the end the hero finishes 3rd. It is a happy ending because his "Shake & Bake" buddy wins.

We ended the weekend watching the Super Bowl in the theater in HD, of course. Here are some pics of the half-time show with Prince.
